My name is Brennan Hogan.
I am a passionate educator specializing in Health Education, Physical Education, and Adaptive Physical Education. I believe in creating a learning environment where every student—regardless of background or ability—feels valued, supported, and empowered to live a healthy and active life.
Originally from Westchester, New York, I graduated from Syracuse University in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree. I majored in Health and Physical Education and am actively working towards getting my New York State Certification.
My teaching philosophy is grounded in the idea that education should be inclusive, engaging, and focused on the whole student. Whether I am guiding students through a health literacy unit or leading a high-energy physical activity, I strive to make every lesson meaningful, relevant, and accessible.
I am especially committed to working with students of all abilities. I believe every student deserves an opportunity to grow physically, emotionally, and socially in a space that recognizes and respects their individuality.
During my student teaching, I was placed at Porter Elementary School for Physical Education and Nottingham High School for Health, both in the Syracuse City School District. This gave me an authentic teaching experience as I was responsible for creating and teaching lessons, communicating with staff and parents, writing and leading individual lesson plans, and monitoring student behavior.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy sailing, playing basketball, following my favorite band Goose around the country, and spending time with family and friends. These interests often inspire creative and dynamic lessons that keep my students engaged and moving.
At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to student wellness and success. I’m here to be a role model, a mentor, and a source of support as students learn how to take care of themselves, work together, and build lifelong habits that will help them thrive.
